Team members often bring their individual biases and at times dysfunctions into the team dynamic. It’s the nature of being human! This is not to say that teamwork is destined to fail. In truth developing a strong team is not only possible it is also simple. I bring the human element of each of the team members to light and empower them to self-align to team goals. I facilitate the development of powerful teams that row in the same direction.

Non-Violent Communication (NVC)

Nonviolent Communication is an intentional style of communicating that involves expressing ourselves with clarity, compassion, self-responsibility, empathy, and the common good in mind. We learn to hear our own deeper needs and those of others. Through its emphasis on deep listening – to ourselves as well as others – NVC helps us discover the depth of our own compassion. This language reveals the awareness that all human beings are at our core working to honor universal values and needs, every minute of every day.

This form of communication is rare in our everyday lives. As we incorporate it into an organization and actively develop its practice, it rapidly unlocks our innate human potential. When we are freed from reflexive and unconscious defensiveness, we have greater access to higher brain functions. Nonviolent Communication, by design, fosters greater communication effectiveness, and it is especially valuable whenever there is an increased degree of stress or pressure.

Coaching, a two-way partnership, is a management skill that gets business results while creating solid relations. The power of Peer Learning is often overlooked. Although there are some limitations to the use of Peer Learning, when used properly and effectively, this type of coaching can help all members of the team by improving cooperation, increased collaboration, greater trust, and increased overall team results.

Peer Learning, by design, enables the Supervisor/Manager/Leader to enpower employees through participation with peers. By using this technique, team members at many different levels will be better prepared to actively develop strong relations with their colleagues and support the team’s collective pursuit of the organization’s larger goals.
